This bespoke outdoor kitchen in Prebbleton was designed to create a seamless extension of the client's outdoor entertaining area, combining premium craftsmanship with durable, low-maintenance materials.
The kitchen features Western Red Cedar cabinetry finished in a rich Ebony stain, paired with handcrafted mid-grey GFRC (Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete) benchtops manufactured in-house by DWG Outdoor Kitchens. The contrast between the warm timber and contemporary concrete creates a timeless outdoor living space that is both practical and visually striking.
A Grandfire built-in BBQ forms the centrepiece of the kitchen, while a premium gunmetal stainless steel sink provides a modern finish. To integrate seamlessly with the existing outdoor space, the client's original tapware was incorporated into the new design, maintaining continuity with the surrounding landscape.
Functionality was also a key focus, with the inclusion of double pull-out rubbish bins, generous storage and a layout designed for effortless outdoor cooking and entertaining.
To complete the project, DWG Outdoor Kitchens also designed and manufactured a matching collection of custom outdoor furniture. This included a bespoke bar leaner featuring powder-coated steel legs and a matching GFRC concrete top, along with a custom dining table and bench seating. The dining setting was finished with a lighter-coloured concrete top, providing a subtle contrast to the kitchen while tying the entire outdoor entertaining area together.
Every component was custom-built in New Zealand to create a cohesive, high-quality outdoor living space tailored specifically to the client's home and lifestyle.
